Melissa provides support in all areas of patent and trademark portfolio management, working closely with the firm’s IP attorneys in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent and trademark applications, domestic and foreign. Melissa also manages patent and trademark dockets to monitor and communicate reporting obligations and upcoming deadlines to the IP team.
Prior to joining the IP team, Melissa worked as a paralegal supporting Bond’s litigation and labor and employment practices for over a decade. She has extensive experience providing litigation support in cases before federal and state trial and appellate courts, having routinely worked on commercial, IP, employment, environmental, personal injury, and trusts and estates litigation matters. In the labor and employment practice, Melissa assisted in affirmative action compliance, wage and hour audits, arbitrations, workplace investigations and proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), New York State Division of Human Rights and the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board.
