Laura works with school district and BOCES clients in the Rochester area and surrounding counties as well as the Southern Tier. She provides her clients with guidance on all facets of school district operations, including school board governance, school board policies, labor relations, collective bargaining, personnel and employment matters, workplace investigations, student matters including discipline, constitutional rights, privacy, residency and homelessness and annual budget vote issues.

She also advocates for school districts in appeals to the Commissioner of Education, proceedings before the State Division of Human Rights and EEOC, PERB proceedings, Office of Civil Rights and in other litigated matters in federal and state court. 

Laura regularly provides training and professional development to clients on a variety of issues and is a regular speaker for the Monroe County School Boards Association as well as the New York State School Boards Association.

She also counsels private sector clients in all aspects of employment law. 

Prior to joining Bond, Laura practiced at a New York state based law firm for over 30 years and was also a member of her previous firm’s management committee.
