Kelly exclusively represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law to keep them informed on legal issues affecting their workplace and maintain fair and compliant employment practices.
Kelly’s experience includes:
- Collective bargaining;
- Grievance arbitration;
- Workplace investigations, including discrimination and harassment;
- Administrative proceedings, including improper practice charges before PERB;
- Disciplinary proceedings under Education Law Section 3020-a and New York Civil Service Law Section 75; and
- Disability issues involving New York General Municipal Law Section 207-c, New York Civil Service Law Sections 71 and 73, and New York State Workers’ Compensation Law.
Kelly also assists in the representation of employers in various litigation matters, including defending against claims of discrimination, harassment and retaliation. She most recently obtained summary judgment on behalf of a school district for a claim filed under the Child Victims Act.
Prior to joining Bond, Kelly served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Debra C. Freeman of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Hon. Steven Jaeger of Nassau County Supreme Court. She also served as the Senior Research Editor for the Hofstra Law Review and was named “Best Oral Advocate” at Hofstra Law’s 2020 Intramural Moot Court competition.
