David has been an active trial and appellate lawyer for more than 40 years in State and federal courts, conducting more than 70 trials to verdict. He has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, the New York Court of Appeals, the Appellate Division, First and Second Departments, and the Appellate Term. In addition to his trial and appellate work, David has represented clients in numerous arbitrations and has also participated in mediations on behalf of clients.
With an emphasis on commercial litigation, his litigated cases range from corporate matters, shareholder claims, partnership disputes, breach of contract, fraud and unfair competition and estate litigation. In addition, he has handled virtually all types of commercial and residential real estate litigation including zoning, landlord-tenant, specific performance and down payment recovery, property border disputes and adverse possession.

David has diverse criminal law experience as an Assistant District Attorney where he handled trials including white collar crimes. He has also briefed and argued numerous criminal appeals in the appellate courts.
Prior to joining Bond, David was a partner at Lazer, Aptheker, Rosella & Yedid, a firm he co-founded in 1987. He has been an instructor at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) program for many years and serves as an arbitrator in the Suffolk County Second District Court and Third District Court. David has served as a Special Master in the Appellate Division, Second Department, Mandatory Mediation Program since 2019 and has handled a dozen mediations.
