Camisha works with clients on a wide array of legal issues, including drafting employment-related policies, researching the latest developments in New York labor and employment law, and assisting in the preparation and resolution of pending litigation. She also regularly provides legal advice and counsel to colleges and universities in all aspects of employment law and education law.
Prior to joining Bond, Camisha was a research assistant for a professor at the Syracuse University College of Law. There, she researched current articles, events, media and data to supplement the professor’s publications and speaking engagements on race, gender, sexuality, criminal law, international human rights, diversity and access to higher education. Camisha also has experience from being a student attorney for the disability rights clinic at the College of Law as well. In this role, she wrote demand letters to places of public accommodation that violated the ADA to advocate for the rights of disabled clients and seek resolution of disputes without litigation. She also held the position of coordinator at the Cold Case Justice Initiative (CCJI) where she led research on a landmark project for the Jackson Family Legacy Project.
