Allison works with clients on a wide array of environmental litigation, remediation, permitting and compliance matters.  Allison’s practice focuses on affirmative and defensive environmental litigation, environmental regulatory matters and corporate and real estate transactions where potential environmental liabilities may inform contract provisions or insurance policies included in the transaction.

Drawing on her experience in both government and private practice, Allison advises companies on compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations; management of environmental investigation and remediation at contaminated properties; obtaining and defending licenses, permits and other approvals from state, regional and federal regulatory bodies; and obtaining insurance coverage. Allison also works with closely with property owners and developers to provide comprehensive environmental assessments of purchase and sale documents, lease agreements, and the terms of access agreements, as well as conducting due diligence to identify environmental issues in corporate and commercial real estate transactions and providing strategies to mitigate or transfer the risks associated with said transactions.

Prior to joining Bond, Allison was an attorney at a New Jersey firm where she represented clients in Superfund and hazardous waste cases, natural resource damage (NRD) suits, federal and state cleanup, cost-recovery and contribution actions, as well as in federally sponsored allocation process, that determines responsibility and cost accountability in large federal and state regulated environmental/hazardous waste sites. Her practice also included counseling commercial and industrial clients regarding obtaining, revising, complying with, effectuating the transfer of and defending environmental and redevelopment licenses, permits and other approvals from state, regional and federal regulatory bodies. Previously, Allison worked for a top consulting firm, where she counseled the U.S. Navy on all aspects of complex environmental litigation, with an emphasis on affirmative and defensive actions brought under CERCLA. She developed the U.S. Navy’s claims and defenses in multiple private and government-initiated cost recovery and contribution claims, including preparing legal documents for submission to the court and opposing counsel.  Allison also clerked at the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance.
