Bond’s Garden City office offers extensive experience and team depth in the areas of labor and employment, litigation, education, municipalities, health care, long term care and hospitality and tourism. We represent clients from eastern Long Island up the Hudson Valley corridor to all points in New York north and west.
Our Clients range from Fortune 500 companies to local family-owned businesses. We also represent K-12 public and independent schools and prestigious universities. Our municipal law clients vary from bustling cities to tranquil hamlets.
Islanders first, our attorneys are embedded in the communities we represent. We live in the towns we advise and send our children to the schools we counsel. At the same time, we are a part of Bond’s firmwide, collaborative, integrated team of 285 attorneys with experience in 34 practices and industry groups with 11 offices in New York.
Our geographical footprint allows us to represent Long Island clients that have statewide operations with attorneys who are familiar with the local judges and members of the bar.
In litigation, our attorneys appear in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies on a wide range of issues, including employment law, constitutional law, land use and commercial disputes. We have considerable experience with jury and bench trials as well as administrative hearings, in civil rights claims, liability claims involving negligence and matters pertaining to contract and employment law.
In 2021, we added trust and estate attorneys who are skilled at working with clients to identify their unique long-term needs and create plans that meet those needs. They also work with small business owners to design and implement business succession plans.
The attorneys of the Garden City office have consistently been recognized for their excellence by The Best Lawyers in America®, New York Metro Super Lawyers®, Martindale-Hubbell and Long Island Business News.
History
As part of the firm’s expansion into the New York City Metro Area, Bond opened its Garden City office in 2004. Staffed predominantly by attorneys from Rains & Pogrebin, after the historic Long Island labor law firm dissolved, Bond’s Nassau County office was able to hit the ground running with attorneys versed in the workplace issues of the region. The scope of services offered in Garden City soon grew to include counsel on the broad spectrum of matters outlined above, all while retaining our reputation for experienced, knowledgeable and responsive service.
Philosophy
We believe strongly in providing the highest quality representation in the most timely and cost-effective way possible. In our view, every client deserves to be treated as if they were our only client. Our client relationships run deep. We partner with our clients to remove obstacles that impede their missions. We are able to tailor our advice by first gaining a keen understanding of our clients’ business operations and cultures.
