This COMPLIMENTARY program will consider factors to evaluate when determining whether suit should be brought in the State or Federal Court, removed or remanded. An overview of Federal/State Forums shall include basic jurisdictional requirements, differences and defenses, docket issues, evidentiary/admissibility differences (i.e. experts), scope and. supervision of discovery/electronic discovery, availability of summary disposition, jury venires and the jury selection process, the determination of issues of state law, and appellate issues such as interlocutory appeals, among others.
