Understanding Proposed Changes to Independent Contractor Standard

Campbell explained the changes made to the independent contractors standard last year by the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) under the Trump administration, making it easier to classify a worker as an independent contractor rather than employee. The USDOL is now considering a proposed new rule that would undo the changes made in 2021.
