Structural Racism and the Law - Complimentary CLE Webinar

This presentation by Professor Paula Johnson, co-founder of the Cold Case Justice Initiative, will focus on structural and systemic racism in the United States. She will provide an overview of legislative actions and systems that have been put in place to maintain racial inequity and suppression of Black and BIPOC communities. Issues to be discussed include the criminal justice system, segregation and redlining. Professor Johnson will discuss why identifying, understanding and working to change these systems is critical to racial equality. Professor Johnson will also discuss actions that can be taken to promote change and to be actively anti-racist in our daily lives.
