Stephen A. Sharkey Elected to SUNY Buffalo Law Alumni Association Board of Directors

(Buffalo, NY): Mr. Sharkey is a trial attorney in the firm's Litigation Department with extensive experience representing financial institutions, businesses, insurance companies and individuals in a wide variety of litigated matters in both Federal and State courts. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, insurance litigation (first-party property, coverage, subrogation and third-party liability defense), real property litigation (contract disputes, landlord/tenant, zoning issues and tax assessment challenges), employment litigation (enforcement of non-compete agreements and discrimination claims), the litigation of professional liability claims and attorney fee disputes, construction litigation and securities litigation. In addition, Mr. Sharkey regularly represents lenders and other creditors in adverse bankruptcy proceedings.

Mr. Sharkey is listed in New York Super Lawyers 2012®. He is a graduate of the State University of New York College at Geneseo and the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Law.
