Raymond A. Meier Delivers Keynote Address at CAASNY Annual Meeting

On May 2, 2011, Bond attorney Raymond A. Meier delivered the keynote address at the County Attorney's Association of The State of New York annual meeting. Mr. Meier spoke on Law, Government, Politics -- and some Fun Stuff Too. The meeting was held at the Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown.
Mr. Meier's background includes serving 10 years in the New York State Senate from 1997 to 2007. Mr. Meier has extensive private and public sector experience and is a recognized leader in Welfare and Medicaid Reform. In addition to his work in these areas, he has served as a leader in promoting economic development initiatives and job growth opportunities throughout his career. Mr. Meier was Oneida County Executive from 1991 to 1996 and an Oneida County Legislator from 1986 to 1991. He served as Corporation Counsel for the City of Rome from 1980 to 1983; legislative counsel to his political mentor, the late Senator James H. Donovan, from 1978 to 1980; and Deputy Onondaga County Attorney from 1977 to 1978. As a lawyer in private practice, Mr. Meier also provided counsel to a variety of clients in the Mohawk Valley Region.
He is a graduate of Syracuse University College of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1976) and Syracuse University (B.A., magna cum laude, 1974).
