Peter Robb, Former General Counsel of the NLRB, Joins Bond, Schoeneck & King
December 6, 2021
(Naples, FL): Bond, Schoeneck & King is pleased to announce that Peter B. Robb has joined the firm as Of Counsel in its labor and employment practice. Robb was most recently General Counsel of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) where, for several years, he was responsible for prosecution of all unfair labor practice charges and trials, supervision of NLRB field offices, the conduct of union elections, appellate litigation and compliance with NLRB and court orders. As a nationally known attorney, Robb has handled all aspects of labor and employment law including plant closings, labor contract negotiations, managing lockouts and strikes, securing labor injunctions, discrimination issues and disability claims, as well as advising on mergers, acquisitions, relocations and layoffs. Robb will be based in the firm’s Naples, FL office and part of Bond’s national labor practice.
Prior to his position at the NLRB, Robb worked in several prominent labor and employment law firms providing rigorous representation in all aspects of labor and employment law. In addition, he served as the lead counsel for President Reagan during the PATCO Air Traffic Controllers Strike and for many years represented the elevator industry’s multi-employer associations, including during its 100 day lockout in New York City.
According to Kevin Bernstein, Chair of the firm’s Management Committee, “Peter has worked at the highest levels in the public and private sectors and will provide great benefits to our management-side clients with his knowledge and experience.”
Louis DiLorenzo, co-managing member of the firm’s New York and Westchester office adds, “Peter is joining the firm shortly after Alice Stock, his former Deputy General Counsel at the NLRB, joined us. These additions, along with the recent combination with the labor and employment firm of Putney Twombly, further strengthens our labor and employment practice, for what we expect to be a very pro-labor administration in the years to come.”
Peter, while not admitted to practice in Florida, can be reached in our Naples office at (239) 659-3811 or probb@bsk.com.
