New York Budget Bill Proposes Changes for Employers

As a bonus to Bond’s February 8 Back to Business webinar, Bond labor and employment attorney Stephanie H. Fedorka provided a quick recap of some changes proposed in Gov. Kathy Hochul’s budget bill that would impact the labor and employment space. Among the changes being considered: the establishment of new protected classes (e.g., domestic violence victims, immigrants, among others) in the New York State Human Rights Law and new provisions in Department of Labor law about non-compete and non-poach agreements.
