Navigating COVID-19 With No Mandates And A New Governor
August 11, 2021
By: Erin S. Torcello
As a bonus to Bond’s August 10 Back to Business webinar, Bond attorneys Erin S. Torcello and Caitlin A. Anderson each recorded a short video about topics of interest to employers in New York State.
Erin talked about what employers should do now that the state’s COVID restrictions have been rescinded, and developing their own policies without a checklist of state mandates.
In her video, Caiti talked about some of the ripples expected in Albany in the wake of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s resignation. Once sworn in as New York’s first woman governor, Kathy Hochul will need to hit the ground running to assemble her own cabinet, including her own replacement as lieutenant governor. So don’t expect too many executive orders and new COVID guidance coming out of the state capital in the short term.
The full presentation covered the following topics:
- NY HERO Act Compliance
- Preliminary Insight for HR on the Cuomo Investigative Report
- Update from Albany
- Handling COVID Personnel Issues in the "Post-COVID" Phase
