Louis DiLorenzo and Peter Jones to Present Complimentary Chambers and Partners Employment Series Webinar - Changes in Direction
November 17, 2020
By: Louis P. DiLorenzo Peter A. Jones
On November 3, 2020, the United States electorate will select a President for the next four years. President Trump and Vice-President Biden have different views about many topics, and one of the areas that is sure to be affected is national labor and employment policy. The Executive Branch of government controls the agencies that determine the administrative aspects of our national labor and employment policy, e.g., the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board and the Federal Department of Labor.
In this webinar, Louis DiLorenzo and Peter Jones, two experienced practitioners before all three of these agencies will preview and discuss what employers can expect if Vice-President Biden is elected or conversely if President Trump is reelected. It is not too early to start assessing what the election will mean for employers - a change in direction or continuation and extension of the trends we have seen over the last four years. One additional overlay from the election will also be analyzed and discussed – who controls the U.S. Senate and what that will mean for the direction that national employment and labor policy takes. By November 17, 2020, we should have the lay of the land and should be able to have a meaningful discussion of the priorities for either administration and the new Senate.
Please join our speakers for what is certain to include some insightful predictions about the future for employers, organized labor and workers.
