Laws Around Transgender Athletics Continue to Evolve

Thorsness talked about Title IX, which prohibits educational institutions from discriminating on the basis of sex, and transgender athletics. Federal courts remain widely split over the question of whether trans-females athletes may compete in girls’ and women’s sports. Until the U.S. Supreme Court offers some resolution, schools and institutions of higher education will have to make some tough decisions about policy.
