Javid Afzali and Paul Buehler Join Bond in Albany

(Albany, NY): Bond, Schoeneck & King is pleased to announce that Javid Afzali, Senior Counsel, and Paul J. Buehler III, Associate, have joined its Albany office. Both are formerly from the Whiteman Osterman & Hanna law firm.
Javid Afzali is an attorney in the firm’s litigation, property and environmental and energy practices, providing his domestic and international clients with a wide range of services including corporate board representation, corporate and commercial dispute resolution and litigation, as well as land use, construction and environmental permitting litigation. Afzali also represents cooperatives and condominiums, assisting clients with corporate governance, finance, shareholder/unit holder dispute resolution, contractor disputes, sponsor disputes, real estate, permitting, and buildings violations, including litigation matters at both trial level and appellate level courts. Outside of Bond, he serves as an Officer in the United States Army (Reserves) JAG Corps and is a member of the Knox Volunteer Fire Department.
Paul Buehler is an associate in the firm’s labor and employment practice. He represents clients in a variety of complex labor and employment matters and in proceedings before federal and state courts and various government agencies, including the New York State Division of Human Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He also counsels employers on a wide variety of labor and employment matters, and drafts employment, separation, restrictive covenant, and other employment-related agreements. In addition, he has commercial litigation and corporate transactional experience.
