October 11, 2022
(Boston, MA): Bond, Schoeneck & King is pleased to announce that Mark L. Beloborodov has joined the firm’s intellectual property practice in its Boston office as a member (partner). Beloborodov is a seasoned IP attorney with an extensive background in representing technology companies ranging from early-stage ventures to multinational conglomerates in IP matters, and supporting innovation in the healthcare, information technology, lighting, consumer goods and electronics sectors. He joins Bond after serving in various in-house leadership roles, including almost 15 years at Royal Philips, where he advised his internal clients on a wide range of IP and corporate matters and oversaw large patent portfolios for lighting, consumer and healthcare businesses.
Jeremy Oczek, chair of the firm’s intellectual property practice, commented that he “is excited to add someone with Mark’s skillset to the firm. With his mix of in-house and law firm experience over the past 20+ years, he brings not only remarkable wealth of knowledge in IP law, but also an in-depth understanding of what clients are looking for in outside counsel.” Kevin Bernstein, chair of the firm’s management committee, adds that “With his considerable experience serving the tech sector, Mark is an important addition to our Boston office as we look to expand in that market.”
As a longtime client of the firm during his tenure at Philips, Beloborodov adds: “I’ve known Jeremy and Bond’s IP team for many years and always valued the practical guidance they provided, and the high-caliber IP work they have consistently delivered. When I was looking to get back into private practice, I knew that Bond would be a firm I could add value to and would be a good fit for my experience and professional passions. I am excited to join this team and look forward to further strengthening Bond’s practice in Boston”
Beloborodov is a graduate of Boston University School of Law and the National Technical University of Ukraine (B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering).
