October 29, 2024

By: John C. Godsoe, John M. Harras, Devin M. Karas, and Daniel J. Nugent

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg once said that ERISA is “a candidate for the most inscrutable legislation Congress ever passed.” Since ERISA’s enactment in 1974, Bond attorneys have assisted clients in unraveling the complexities of ERISA and other laws impacting employee benefits to achieve successful outcomes.  As ERISA turns 50, please join us as members of Bond’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice group examine current legal developments through the lens of ERISA’s purpose and history.

In this program we will cover:

  • Recent legislative and regulatory developments impacting defined contribution plans (e.g., 401(k) and 403(b))
  • Navigating challenges presented by the rise of health and welfare plan compliance requirements
  • A review of recent ERISA litigation and best practices for mitigating those risks

This program is being offered in-person or via Zoom.
