Employers Must Keep HERO Act Safety Plans in Place
February 23, 2022
As a bonus to Bond’s February 22 Back to Business webinar, Bond labor and employment attorney Adam P. Mastroleo provided an update on New York State’s Health and Essential Rights (HERO) Act, which was extended after the state health commissioner renewed her designation of COVID-19 as a highly contagious disease last week. The HERO Act required private employers in New York to adopt an “airborne infectious disease exposure prevention plan” last summer. With the highly contagious designation now extended through March 17, employers will need to keep their safety plans activated until then.
The full Tuesday webinar covered the following topics:
- Update to Whistlebelower Law Changes
- Healthcare Vaccine Mandate Update
- Name/Image/Likeness for Higher Education Institutions
- HER Act Refresher
