DHS Returns to Pre-COVID Requirements for Form I-9

As a bonus to Bond’s June 20 Business in 2023 webinar, Bond labor and employment attorney Kseniya Premo talked about what it means for employers now that Department of Homeland Security will once again require in-person, physical document inspections for workers coming to the United States from abroad. The verification requirements were loosened during COVID-19 to allow for remote inspection of employment eligibility documents, but DHS is ending those flexibilities August 30, 2023.
