When Dennis Brown was 17, his sisters got him flying lessons as a high school graduation present.
After one lesson, Brown was hooked.
“I was hellbent on becoming a pilot,” he recalled.
And he didn’t mind working crazy hours to achieve his dream.
After all, Brown showed an entrepreneurial streak at an early age.
Raised in Skaneateles, New York, he started working at 13 during the summers at a golf course cleaning clubs; by 15, he was working 60 hours a week each summer taking care of the course.
