Roach talked about the recent increase in the number of borrower-defense claims being brought against institutions of higher education (IHE), and how and why colleges and universities should respond to those claims. Administered by the U.S. Department of Education, the Borrower Defense to Repayment Rule (BDR) offers relief from federal loans to students who were defrauded by their schools.
