September 25, 2024
By: Gabriel S. Oberfield, Esq., M.S.J. Jackson K. Somes
This complimentary program, the fifth in a multi-part series with the New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG), will provide compliance officers, administrators and executive officers in healthcare with a chance to informally hear from representatives of the OMIG and from the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) of the New York State Attorney General (NYAG). In the forthcoming program, speakers will discuss their Office’s collaborative, as well as distinct, roles and responsibilities in protecting New York State's Medicaid program, including in the conducting of audits, investigations, the recovery of overpayments, and in recommending managed care contractual and other program integrity requirements.
Panelists to include Michael D'Allaird, Deputy Medicaid Inspector General for the OMIG's Division of Medicaid Audit, and Sherrie Brown, Senior Counsel for Civil Enforcement at MFCU, which is the largest unit within the NYAG's Criminal Justice Division. Bond attorney Jackson Somes will introduce the program and together Bond attorney Gabriel Oberfield and William Schwarz, the OMIG's Director of Public Affairs, will moderate the discussion.
