Bond Lauded as a ‘Ceiling Smasher’ in Law360 Report

September 3, 2024

(Syracuse): Bond, Schoeneck & King is pleased to announce that it has been named as one of the top 10 law firms with 251-600 attorneys in the U.S. for its high percentage of female equity partners.

In its 2024 Women in Law Report, Law360 reports that while women comprise 40.6% of all lawyers, they make up only 25.9% of equity partners in the industry. Law360 states: “Despite the broader industry challenges, the firms that made it onto Law360 Pulse's Ceiling Smashers list are demonstrating that strides towards gender parity in the upper ranks are possible.”

Bond ranked number eight in the country in terms of its percentage of women equity partners for firms in its size category.

According to Suzanne Messer, equity member and Chair of Bond’s Women’s Initiative, “Bond is proud of the strides it has made toward achieving gender equity at all attorney stages, from incoming associates to equity members. Women make up nine of the 13 attorneys of our incoming fall associate cohort. The Women’s Initiative is devoted to supporting the professional development of its women attorneys so that they can achieve membership and progress through the membership of Bond on par with the progress of our male colleagues.”
