On June 14, 2019, Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019, which significantly changed the law as it relates to landlord-tenant proceedings. In this presentation, Amy Rhinehardt, an attorney from Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, will discuss the differences between the new laws and the old, such as changes to timeframes for rent demands and notices for late rent, changes in notice requirements, mandatory adjournments, penalties for unlawful evictions and much more.
