November 1, 2021
(New York, NY): Bond, Schoeneck & King is pleased to announce that Alice B. Stock has joined its New York City office as Of Counsel in its Labor and Employment practice. Stock was most recently Deputy General Counsel of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) where she directed the operations of all divisions within the NLRB’s Office of the General Counsel and its 26 regional offices, including Advice, Appeals, Appellate and Supreme Court Litigation, and the Agency’s administrative, financial, human resources, equal employment opportunity and labor relations functions. Prior to her service with the NLRB, Stock was a partner at a large New York City law firm, where she represented domestic and multinational organizations, primarily in labor and employment and immigration matters. She is a graduate of Harvard Law School (J.D.) and Yale University (B.A.).
Stock has decades of experience counseling employers in virtually all areas of labor and employment and immigration law and representing them before federal and state courts and federal, state and local administrative agencies, including the NLRB, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor and state and local administrative agencies in labor and employment matters, and the U.S. departments of Homeland Security, Labor and State in immigration matters. She has represented employers in multiple industries, including the airline, manufacturing, financial services, entertainment, technology, biotech, pharmaceutical, luxury goods, and food and beverage, hospitality sectors. She also has deep experience representing nonprofit cultural, religious, humanitarian and higher education institutions.
According to Kevin Bernstein, Chair of the firm’s Management Committee, “Alice’s experience with the NLRB will bring extraordinary regulatory insights to our clients. She has proven leadership across the many employment issues our clients face, from compliance with employment and labor laws to collective bargaining, unionization efforts and unfair labor practices. Together with the talented Putney Twombly attorneys, including Dan Murphy, who joined our New York City office earlier this year, Alice greatly enhances Bond’s labor and employment capabilities for our clients in New York and across the nation.”
Lou DiLorenzo, the co-managing member of Bond’s NYC office, explained: “The new administration has signaled an aggressive pro-union labor agenda that will affect all private employers – union and non-union alike. Alice’s insight and experience will be invaluable to our clients as they respond to these new legal challenges from the current administration’s NLRB. We look forward to the contribution she will make to our practice and our offices, including our recently opened Westchester office.”
In addition to joining Bond’s Labor and Employment practice, Stock will be part of the firm’s Higher Education and Immigration practices.
