This webinar will focus on helping school district clerks and superintendents manage the myriad logistics associated with Governor Andrew Cuomo’s recent mandate that all school board elections and budget votes be conducted on June 9, 2020 by absentee ballot.
Topics discussed will include:
- Review of the applicable timelines for steps leading up to election day/budget vote day
- Legal notices; nominating petitions; budget hearings; budget notices; voter registration; ballot distribution
- Maintaining social distance while also ensuring the integrity of the electoral process (e.g., safeguarding the health of election staff while ballots are counted)
